Westie Walk of Toronto 2005
Sunday, June 5 , 2005

It promised to be a hot day with thunderstorms in the afternoon; we got strong sun and an amazing day. This year we totalled 19 Westies and 9 other breed friends from "Happy Tails", the rescue organization that we fundraised for. Our participants came all the way from places like Toronto, Missisauga, Orangeville or even New York, to to join all the wagging tails and the usual fun-filled morning in Erindale Park, Mississauga.

Carol Campbell and Theo Mackenzie are the chair and co-chair of the Westie Walk of Toronto. Here they are keeping an eye on the paperwork.

Our friends Judy Keep and Anatole Cannon from "Happy Tails Rescue". The walk raised funds for them this year. The many little guys on the left are rescues that Judy took over or are waiting for a home. The big guys on the right are Anatole's dogs, Maia the Borzoy and Spider the Doberman.

But it's all about the walk after all, so here we go to start it...

Walking in the shade beside the creek. What a great way to spend a Sunday.

Come on mom... come on dad... let's go. The last one is a black dog!

We had Westies and owners of all sizes.

Here we are finishing back at the picnic area, ready for some shade and water bowls.

Hi I'm Charlie! Where are all these people and Westies going?
